Media Advisory: Celebrate National Flag of Canada Day with the City of Toronto
  
The City of Toronto will honour National Flag of Canada Day with special
ceremonies on Thursday, February 15.

Citizenship Ceremony
9:30 a.m.
Toronto City Hall, Council Chamber
Eighty Toronto residents, representing 67 different countries, will take the
Oath of Citizenship and become Canadian citizens. Citizenship Judge Doreen
Wicks is scheduled to preside.

Flag Day Ceremony
12:30 p.m.
Nathan Phillips Square, main flag pole
The ceremony will include the reading of the proclamation, a flag-raising and
the singing of the national anthem. Members of the Toronto Civic Honour Guard
will participate in the program.

National Flag of Canada Day celebrates our unique Canadian identity. This year
marks the 36th anniversary of the Canadian flag.
