Voters' list available for Ward 31, Beaches-East York by-election
Eligible voters in the December 3 by-election for Ward 31, Beaches-East York
will receive voting information in the mail in late November. Voters who want
to ensure they are on the list or wish to add their name to the list, can call
the City of Toronto's elections office at 416-338-1111.

Voters can also see the voters' list between now and December 3 at Toronto City
Hall, 100 Queen Street West - 5th Floor, West Tower, and at 3 Dohme Avenue (off
O'Connor Dr., north of St. Clair Ave. E.).

Eligible voters must be 18 years of age or older on December 3, 2001, and be a
Canadian citizen. Voters must also live in Ward 31, or they or their spouse
must rent or own property in the ward on December 3 to be eligible to vote.

The by-election fills a vacancy on City Council left by Michael Prue who was
elected to the Ontario Legislature on September 20.

Advance voting will take place at the Stan Wadlow Clubhouse, 373 Cedarvale
Ave., on Saturday, November 24 from noon to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, November 25
from noon to 6 p.m. Candidate nominations close at 5 p.m. November 2.
