WHAT:
Beat the February blues with lively Caribbean steel drum music, amazing
juggling, stilt walking and unicycle feats, plus sensational synchronized
skating at the launch of the 21st annual Toronto Winterfest presented by
Shoppers Drug Mart, February 6 at 4 p.m.

Don't miss the Mayor's unique entrance as he glides towards a fun-filled winter
weekend in Toronto!

Mayor Mel Lastman, Councillor Chris Korwin-Kuczynski, Jesse Ketchum Pan
Vibrations - youth steel drum band, Ice Infiniti, synchronized skating team,
Dan Cole - juggler,Darren Bedford - unicyclist,Moko-Jumbies - stilt walker,
Elliot Moose and Shoppers Drug Mart Life Bear!

WHERE:
Nathan Phillips Square Ice Rink, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street West

WHEN:
Tuesday February 6, 4:00 p.m.

WHY:
The 21st annual Toronto Winterfest kicks off Friday, February 9 with a
spectacular Ice Show and Opening Ceremonies. The fun continues on Saturday and
Sunday, February 10 and 11, with multiple stages featuring exceptional singers,
dancers and children's performers, skating shows, ice gardens and snow
sculptures, circus productions and athletic spectacles, thrill shows, hands-on
arts and science activities, a Caribbean cultural pavilion and even a preschool
pyjama party! Free fun for the whole family all weekend long!
