Media Advisory: Library award boosts reading and literacy
  
The winner of the first Toronto Public Library Celebrates Reading Award will be
announced on Sunday, October 14, 2001, 12:30 pm at A Novel Afternoon, Toronto
Public Library Foundation's gala luncheon at the Barbara Frum Atrium, CBC
Broadcasting Centre, 250 Front St., West.

A Novel Afternoon is an annual fundraising luncheon, celebrating children's
literature with Canada's leading authors of children's books. All proceeds from
the event will benefit the Library's literacy programs and the Osborne
Collection of Early Children's Books.
