Media Advisory: Sneak a peek at the coolest council meeting in Toronto's history!
  
What:
It's the coolest council meeting in Toronto's history! The Lord of the Rings'
Rivendell Council meets at Nathan Phillips Square for Toronto?s ice sculpture
exhibition Designs in Ice presented by Scotiabank. The Rivendell Council
Signature Ice Sculpture includes 12 characters from The Lord of the Rings: The
Fellowship of the Ring film carved from 6,000 lb. of ice! Don?t miss this most
mysterious media sneak preview ? book your tour time in advance.

Captured in Ice: Gandalf, Bilbo, Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Aragorn, Boromir,
Legolas, Gimli, Elrond, Arwen

ice carving demos by Iceculture and an opportunity for you the media to try
your hand at the art of ice carving!

Toronto's favourite holiday event Designs in Ice presented by Scotiabank
celebrates the art of ice carving in the heart of the city on December 27 & 28!

Close to 45,000 lb. of ice will be chiseled and carved to create an enchanted
world of hobbits, elves, dwarves and wizards inspired by the major motion
picture The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
