Photo Op: Santa and prima ballerina Sonia Rodriguez distribute sugar plums

Date: Tuesday, November 27

Time: 2:30 p.m.

Place: Rotunda, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

Santa Claus will be in town early this year to help the sugar plum fairy (Sonia
Rodriguez) distribute "sugar plums" to children at City Hall. Santa and Sonia
have teamed up because the City of Toronto and the National Ballet of Canada
are working together to promote this year's production of the Nutcracker and
related City events.

Topiary masterpieces of images from the Nutcracker are featured in the City of
Toronto's Christmas flower shows at Allan Gardens and the Centennial Park
Conservatory. The flower shows open on December 2.

The National Ballet's visually stunning production of James Kudelka's version
of the Nutcracker will be performed at the Hummingbird Centre starting December
16.
