Community invited to join in discussions about Toronto's new Culture Plan
  
Culture Division -- Toronto's Culture Division is preparing a new
Culture Plan that will guide the development of Toronto as the Creative City of
the future.

Members of the public are invited to join in facilitated discussions about
Toronto's cultural future on the following dates:

Tuesday, June 5 -- 7 p.m.
Toronto Centre for the Arts, Studio Theatre
5040 Yonge Street (north of Sheppard Avenue)

Wednesday, June 6 -- 7 p.m.
St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, Jane Mallett Theatre
27 Front Street East

Tuesday, June 19 -- 7 p.m.
Montgomery's Inn
4709 Dundas Street West

Thursday, June 21 -- 7 p.m.
Scarborough Civic Centre, Committee Rooms 1 and 2
150 Borough Drive

Key issues for the new Culture Plan, which are outlined in detail in Toronto
Culture's Creative City Workprint report, include:
  • resources for growth and change
  • cultural facilities and infrastructure
  • public and private partnerships
  • innovative financing
  • incentives for economically sound heritage preservation
  • Toronto's story as our invitation to the world.
