Media Advisory: Bicycle show booth promotes Toronto bike plan

Toronto's Cycling Committee will be on hand, focusing on the City's bike plan,
at the 15th Annual Toronto International Bicycle Show.

Location: National Trade Centre, Exhibition Place, Hall B
Dates: Friday, March 2 (noon to 9 p.m.), Saturday, March 3 (10 a.m.
to 8 p.m.) and Sunday, March 4 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

The City is working on developing a cycling plan to help guide efforts to
encourage and promote cycling through the year 2010. The public is invited to
provide input on the plan, visit the booth and talk to cycling committee
members about bicycle safety, volunteering, and the City's many services and
programs, such as the road and trail safety ambassadors, bike lanes, CAN-BIKE
and Bike Week.

The Toronto Cycling Committee is a special committee of City Council whose
mandate is to initiate programs to increase the quantity and quality of bicycle
trips in the city.
