Architecture and Urban Design Awards winners announced
The winners of the City of Toronto Architecture and Urban Design Awards were
announced last night by deputy Mayor Case Ootes and Urban Development Services
Commissioner Paula M. Dill at a reception at the Design Exchange.

From over 70 entries, the jury of Larry Beasley, Peter G. Ellis, Donna Hinde
and David Oleson chose to single out the 11 projects listed below. The awards
were created to recognize the role that good urban design and architecture play
in enhancing the quality of life in any city.

- The Isabel Bader Theatre
- Ways Lane Residence

Large Places or Neighbourhood Designs
- Upper East Side

Visions and Master Plans
- Investing in the Landscape: University of Toronto, St. George Campus Open
Space Master Plan

Honourable Mention

- Prince Arthur Arch

- Meeting Place
- Twenty

- College Street Creative Landscape for Making a Living
