Advance voting in Ward 31, Beaches-East York this weekend
  
Residents of Ward 31, Beaches-East York can take advantage of advance voting
hours this weekend at the Stan Wadlow Clubhouse from noon to 8 p.m. on
Saturday, November 24 and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 25. Voting day for
the by-election is December 3.

The by-election fills a vacancy on City Council left by Michael Prue who was
elected to the Ontario Legislature on September 20. The term of office is from
December 4, 2001 to November 30, 2003.

The Stan Wadlow Clubhouse is located at 373 Cedarvale Ave. Residents who are
unsure if they are on the voters' list can call 416-338-1111. You must be 18
years of age on December 3, a Canadian Citizen and live in Ward 31 or own or
rent property in Ward 31 to be eligible to vote.

There are 11 candidates vying for the seat on City Council. The list of
candidates and other important voting information can be found on the City's
elections Web site at http://www.city.toronto.on.ca/ele ctions or by calling 416-338-1111.
