Winterlicious media preview at Lee on January 12
  
To celebrate the start of Winterlicious reservations, an official media preview will take place at Lee on Thursday, January 12 with Councillor Michael Thompson (Ward 37 Scarborough Centre), Chair of Toronto's Economic Development Committee. Presented by YP Dine and produced by the City of Toronto, Winterlicious is Toronto's premier prix fixe food event.

Date: Thursday, January 12
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Location: Lee, 601 King St. W.

Remarks by Chef Susur Lee, and representatives from City of Toronto and YP Dine, will be followed by a photo opportunity and media availability. A sampling of Lee's Winterlicious prix fixe menu items will be featured.

From January 27 to February 9, Winterlicious will feature three-course prix fixe lunch and dinner menus, served at more than 220 of Toronto's top restaurants for exceptional value. Restaurants start accepting reservations for the Prix Fixe Promotion on January 12. More information and a complete list of participating restaurants is available at www.toronto.ca/winterlicious.

Winterlicious also features a Culinary Event Series offering themed culinary experiences in celebration of Canada's 150th birthday, taking diners on a culinary journey through Canada's history from coast to coast. Tickets are on sale now. Details at www.toronto.ca/winterlicious.

About Winterlicious and Summerlicious
The Winterlicious and Summerlicious programs are produced by the City of Toronto. The Licious programs began in 2003 as a way to boost Toronto's restaurant industry during typically slow periods of business. In the years since the programs' inception, participating restaurants have served 6.2 million meals during the promotion which have generated more than $275 million in economic activity for the local restaurant industry. The Licious programs were ranked in the top three all-time favourite festivals, fairs and events in Field Day's fourth annual Toronto entertainment survey.

About Chef Susur Lee
Praised as one of the "Ten Chefs of the Millennium" in 2000 by Food & Wine magazine, Susur Lee is still at the top of his game. In addition to helming five restaurants in Toronto –Lee, Bent, Luckee, Lee Kitchen and Fring’s – and overseeing his prestigious TungLok Heen in Singapore’s Hotel Michael, Lee makes numerous television appearances and travels the world as guest chef and consultant.
