Mayor Tory to make an announcement about increasing community safety in Toronto with government leaders
Mayor John Tory will meet with federal Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Ralph Goodale, MP Marco Mendicino (Eglinton-Lawrence), Ontario Attorney General Yasir Naqvi, Ontario Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services David Orazietti and Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders regarding new joint initiatives aimed at increasing community safety and decreasing gun violence.

Time: 11 a.m.
Location: Protocol Lounge, Mayor’s Office, City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.
(A closed meeting will start at 10 a.m., followed by a photo opportunity at 10:45 a.m. and a media availability at 11 a.m.)
