Mural to be unveiled in Ward 18 on Sunday
Councillor Ana Bailᾶo (Ward 18 Davenport) and members of the community will officially unveil a mural as part of the StreetARToronto (StART) program this Sunday.

Councillor Bailᾶo will be joined by Jose Ortega, Co-Artistic Director of Lula Music and Arts Centre; three artists from Chile, Paula Ferrer, Aner Urra and Rodrigo Ardiles (producer); students from Alexander Muir/Gladstone Avenue Junior and Senior Public School and The Grove Community School; and members of the community.

The mural, sponsored by Lula Music and Arts Centre, highlights the contributions of Indigenous Peoples and communities with roots in South America to the artistic and cultural life in the Dundas West neighbourhood. It was created to continue to beautify the area, celebrate Toronto's diversity and reduce graffiti vandalism.

Date: Sunday, June 11
Time: 4:30 p.m.
Location: 1615 Dundas St. W. (the group will walk to 1532 Dundas St. W. for the mural unveiling).

The unveiling will be preceded by a concert at Lula Lounge, located at 1585 Dundas St. W., honouring Chilean singer-songwriter and activist Violeta Parra and is part of the 2017 Lulaworld festival. More details about the concert are available at
