Media Advisory - Mayor David Miller officially opens Massey Harris Park | | | | |
Mayor David Miller, Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone, representatives of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation, Toronto Culture, and the Friends of Massey Harris Park will officially open a new urban park in the centre of the King St. West community.
Massy Harris Park, located on the site of a former Massey-Harris-Ferguson Ltd. industrial complex, celebrates its agricultural heritage with an award-winning design by Brown + Storey Architects. Artist James McLeod has designed a large trellis that creates an intricate pattern of shadow over the paths of the park.
Date: Monday, August 28
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Place: Massey Harris Park, 945 King St. W. (west of Strachan Ave.)
The official opening will be followed by a community barbecue hosted by the Friends of Massey Harris Park.
