City of Toronto adds Canada's Top 100 Employers to award roster
The City of Toronto has been named one of Canada's Top 100 Employers for 2017, as announced today in a Globe and Mail feature magazine.

This national competition is organized by MediaCorp Canada Inc., which evaluates employers against other organizations and highlights those who offer the most progressive and innovative programs in eight areas including physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.

"What an honour it is to receive this significant acknowledgement," said City Manager Peter Wallace. "The City of Toronto strives to create an equitable, diverse, healthy and safe workplace and is committed to fostering an inclusive culture that sets the highest standard of integrity, professionalism and ethical behaviour."

The City of Toronto continues to win numerous local, national and international awards. In the employer category, the City currently holds awards for Canada's Best Diversity Employers, Greater Toronto's Top Employers and Best Employers in Canada for 2016.
