Media Advisory - City of Toronto to recognize Family Caregiver Day
  
Mayor John Tory will be joined by Councillor James Pasternak (Ward 10 York Centre), Chair of the Community Development and Recreation Committee, Councillor Josh Matlow (Ward 22 St. Paul's), Toronto's Seniors Advocate, as well as partners VHA Home Healthcare, the Ontario Caregiver Coalition, the Toronto Seniors Forum, the ENRICHES Collaborative and other partner organizations to recognize and acknowledge caregivers who care for family and friends in need.

Time: 10 a.m., remarks at 10:30 a.m.
Location: Members Lounge and Council Chamber, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

The event will include keynote speeches by Dr. Brian Goldman, emergency room physician and radio host, and Dr. Jane Barratt, Secretary General of the International Federation on Ageing, as well as musical entertainment by Canadian R&B singer Jully Black. Awards will be presented for VHA's Heart of Home Care Awards. The event will also be live-streamed to eight satellite locations across Toronto to allow caregivers in different locations to watch and participate.
