Mayor John Tory to present Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers
  
Mayor John Tory on behalf of Governor General David Johnston will present the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers to 27 Torontonians during a ceremony to be held on August 31.

Date: Thursday, August 31
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Location: Rotunda, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

The Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers recognizes the exceptional volunteer achievements of Canadians in a wide range of fields. As an official Canadian honour, it also pays tribute to the dedication and exemplary commitment of volunteers.
