Toronto Public Health to launch mobile food market at Toronto General Hospital on Friday
Councillor Joe Mihevc (Ward 21 St. Paul's), Chair of the Toronto Board of Health, will host a media event tomorrow to officially launch a new Grab Some Good mobile food market located in front of Toronto General Hospital.

The initiative, a collaboration with FoodShare and the University Health Network (UHN), will bring fresh, healthy and culturally diverse foods to busy University Avenue for those working at or visiting its many hospitals.

Date: Friday, July 22
Time: 1 p.m.
Location: In front of the UHN Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at Toronto General Hospital, 585 University Ave.

Photo and interview opportunities involving the pop-up market will be available with Councillor Mihevc, Mary Kay McCarthy, Senior Clinical Director at Toronto General Hospital, and Debbie Field, Executive Director of FoodShare.

Food plays a vital role in building healthy people, communities and cities. With thousands of people across Toronto using hospitals and other health facilities and services along the University Avenue corridor, the UHN Grab Some Good market will provide a central and accessible location for nutritious and affordable food choices.
