City of Toronto to honour Métis people at flag raising for Louis Riel Day
  
Councillor Mike Layton (Ward 19 Trinity-Spadina), co-chair of the City's Aboriginal Affairs Committee, will join community representatives in a ceremony and flag raising to mark Louis Riel Day in Toronto. The ceremony/flag raising honours the contributions of Louis Riel and the Métis people to the development of Canada.

Date: Wednesday, November 16
Time: 8:45 a.m., flag raising; 9 a.m., ceremony in the Members Lounge
Location: Podium Roof, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.
