Toronto Seniors Summit at City Hall on Saturday
A Toronto Seniors Summit will be held at Toronto City Hall tomorrow to celebrate Seniors Month and the recent age-friendly city designation by the World Health Organization.

Speakers include the Honourable Laura Albanese, Ontario Minister of Citizenship and Immigration; Councillor Josh Matlow (Ward 22 St. Paul's), the City of Toronto's Seniors Advocate; Dr. Samir K. Sinha, Director of Geriatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital and the University Health Network; Dr. Joseph Y.K. Wong, founding member of the Chinese Canadian National Council and the Yee Hong Foundation for Geriatric Care; and Lezlie Lee Kam, Chair of the Senior Pride Network.

Date: Saturday, June 18
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; speeches begin at 10 a.m.
Location: Council Chamber, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

City of Toronto divisions and community agencies will be available to share information about services and resources available to seniors. Attendees will also learn about ethno-cultural and LGBTQ-specific services and initiatives.

This event is open to media and the general public. Seating is limited so members of the public are asked to register at or to call 416-338-3301.
