Media Advisory - Toronto home for the aged celebrates a century of love
The Parisi Art Gallery at Cummer Lodge, a City of Toronto home for the aged, will be celebrating a century of weddings with over 65 photographs of residents, volunteers and staff in their wedding attire. The photographs will depict depression-era brides, war brides, right up to the millennium bride.

An original wedding gown of a Cummer Lodge resident will also be on display. A staff member, who was a bride in 1998, will make this truly a wedding celebration by serving tea dressed in her wedding gown.

Date: Thursday, June 1
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Cummer Lodge, 205 Cummer Ave. (east of Bayview, north of Finch)

Cummer Lodge is one of 10 homes for the aged operated by the City of Toronto. Cummer Lodge is committed to providing care and services, and to working with the community, to ensure that each resident is respected, supported and enabled to be the best they can be. It is a diverse setting where residents of diverse religions and cultures live together while respecting and celebrating each other’s beliefs and traditions.
