Media Advisory - Residents unfurl rainbow flag, celebrate Pride Week at long-term care home
On Friday, June 23, the Hon. George Smitherman, Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, and Councillor Kyle Rae (Ward 27, Toronto Centre-Rosedale) will join residents of Fudger House, a Toronto home for the aged, to unfurl a rainbow flag to celebrate Pride Week. The ceremony will also include staff, local clergy, members of the Senior Pride Network and community organizations who all share a commitment to making Fudger House a welcoming environment for all its residents.

The event will also include a barbecue lunch, and an opportunity for guests to celebrate Fudger House and its residents of all cultures, faiths and sexual orientations.

Date: Friday, June 23
Times: Flag unfurling at 11:45 a.m., barbecue celebration at noon
Location: Fudger House, 439 Sherbourne St.

Toronto Homes for the Aged is committed to providing care and services that respect, support and enable every resident to enjoy the highest possible quality of life.
