Media Advisory: Students unveil their vision of the urban landscape through images and words

Grade 7 and 8 students from Brookview Middle School will unveil Urban Landscapes: The View From Here, a digital imagery project.

Date: Thursday, November 30
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Brookview Middle School, 4505 Jane St.

Over a three-month period, history students combined traditional methods of photography using digital cameras and advanced software to reflect their neighbourhood. The digital images and accompanying poetry written by the students, have been published in a book which will create a legacy of work by the youth that participated.

Urban Landscapes: The View From Here, is a partnership between the City of Toronto’s Culture, and Parks, Forestry and Recreation divisions and the Toronto District School Board in support of Toronto’s Community Safety Plan -- Neighbourhood Action Plan for the Jane-Finch community.
