Media Advisory - Mayor David Miller launches measures to save birds
  
Joined by officials from Toronto Hydro, the Toronto Wildlife Centre and FLAP (Fatal Light Awareness Program), Mayor David Miller will launch a public appeal and other initiatives to help save the lives of birds.

Date: Tuesday, April 11
Time: 12:50 p.m.
Place: Nathan Phillips Square, City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

Speakers include Mayor Miller; Joyce McLean, Director, Strategic Issues, Toronto Hydro; Michael Mesure, Executive Director, Fatal Light Awareness Program (FLAP); and Natalie Karvonen, Director, Toronto Wildlife Centre.

Also attending are representatives from a wide range of participating organizations, including businesses, wildlife societies and other public sector agencies.

The launch will include a demonstration and description of a bird rescue operation.
