Media Advisory - Canadian Fallen Firefighters memorial ceremony
  
The Toronto Fire Services’ Pipes and Drums, many Toronto Fire members and hundreds of firefighters and civilians from across Canada will honour the more than 800 known fallen Canadian firefighters. Special recognition will also be given to recognize those firefighters who died in the line of duty in 2005.

Date: Sunday, September 10
Time: 11 a.m.
Location: Parliament Hill, Ottawa, Ontario

Other confirmed participants include:

  • Director Serge Tremblay, Sécurité Incendie de Montréal (Montreal Fire) - honourary host
  • The Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of Public Security - keynote speaker
  • North American Firefighter Veterans Network memorial bell
  • Governor General’s Foot Guard Band
  • Ottawa Fire Service Band, directed by Paul Casagrande
  • Sudbury Fire Fighters’ Choir
  • Ontario Fire Services Pipes and Drums, and Honour Guard
  • Brampton Fire and Emergency Services Ceremonial Honour Guard
  • Family members of the fallen firefighters of 2005.
