Media Advisory - City of Toronto renames park after Louise Russo
  
Mayor David Miller, Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti (Ward 7 York West), and representatives of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation will rename Flindon Park after Louise Russo following the first annual Louise Russo Walk Against Violence Everywhere (WAVE) on Sunday, May 28. Ms. Russo will be in attendance.

The event includes official remarks, unveiling of the new park sign and plaque, and a community barbeque with entertainment and games for children and families.

Date: Sunday, May 28

Times: 8:30 a.m. - registration for walk and breakfast
10:30 a.m. - start of Louise Russo Walk Against Violence Everywhere
12 p.m. - official ceremonies at Louise Russo Park
12:15 p.m. - barbeque at Louise Russo Park

Locations: Louise Russo Walk Against Violence Everywhere: Finch and Weston Road

Official ceremonies for renaming of Flindon Park to Louise Russo Park: 42 Flindon Rd. (west of Weston Road, north of Albion Road)
