Media Advisory - Toronto Children’s Breakfast Club to receive $10,000 from Richard Boustead Foundation for Children’s Charities

The Richard Boustead Foundation for Children’s Charities will present a cheque for $10,000 to the Toronto Children’s Breakfast Club on Monday morning at their Falstaff location. The funds will help the club provide social and educational stimulation for school age children while serving them nutritious breakfast meals daily.

Date: Monday, January 30
Time: 8 a.m.
Place: Richard Boustead Falstaff Breakfast Club
30 Falstaff Avenue (just east of Jane Street, one block south of Hwy 401)

Richard Boustead worked for Toronto Emergency Medical Services for 27 years, as a paramedic and supervisor, before he passed away on July 1, 2002. Shortly before his passing, the Toronto Children’s Breakfast Club named their Falstaff location after him. The Richard Boustead Foundation for Children’s Charities was also formed in 2002 by his widow, Debbie Boustead shortly after his death.

In attendance for this cheque presentation will be Debbie Boustead, founder of the Richard Boustead Foundation for Children’s Charities; Richard Gosling, founder of the Toronto Children’s Breakfast Club; and Bruce Farr, Chief and General Manager of Toronto EMS. Several EMS staff members, including paramedics, dispatchers and retirees, will be volunteering to make and serve breakfast to the dozens of schoolchildren who visit the club daily.
