Media Advisory - Media screening of the documentary “Hear the Story” First-time filmmakers explore issues facing Toronto youth

As part of the City’s Community Safety initiative, youth from at-risk neighbourhoods in Toronto collaborated on a documentary about their lives, opportunities and challenges. Filmmaker Alison Duke, with assistance from the City of Toronto, helped guide the young filmmakers through pre-production, production and post-production for this 30-minute documentary.

Date: Tuesday, September 12
Time: 2 p.m.
Place: Council Chamber, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

Mayor David Miller, Duke and the filmmakers will be available to take questions. Tonya Lee Williams, actor, Founder and President of ReelWorld, and member of the Mayor’s Film, Television, and Commercial Production Industry Committee, will also be in attendance.
