Media Advisory - Mayor David Miller to unveil the Princes’ Gates Improvement Project
Mayor David Miller and Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone, Chair, Board of Governors, Exhibition Place, will unveil the Princes’ Gates Improvement Project.

Date: Wednesday, July 19
Time: 9:15 a.m.
Location: Princes’ Gates, Exhibition Place, Strachan Ave. north of Lake Shore Blvd. W.

A design competition was launched in early 2005, inviting design teams from the twinned cities of Toronto and Milan to submit an Expression of Interest. The design submitted by Sering + Sistema Duemila, Milano - MBTW Group, Toronto, was selected as the winner of the Princes’ Gates Area Revitalization Design Competition.

The area adjacent to the east side of the Princes’ Gates has been designed as an open space. It will symbolically and physically welcome the millions of visitors who participate in the activities and celebrations at Exhibition Place. The new design will also enhance the western edge of the residential development taking place south of Fort York.
