Media Advisory - Metropolis-Toronto 2006 comes to a close
At a news conference today, Mayor David Miller will congratulate delegates and organizers on the success of Metropolis-Toronto 2006, a week-long international event jointly organized by the City of Toronto and the World Association of Major Metropolises (Metropolis). The event brought together more than 30 of the world’s largest cities to discuss urban management issues. Montreal Mayor Gérald Tremblay, Metropolis’s Executive Vice-President of North America and Treasurer will provide highlights of the meetings. Also attending the news conference will be Patrick Xavier Ramiaramanana, Mayor of Antananarivo and 2007 host of the Metropolis Board of Directors’ meeting, as well as Chris Johnson, who will be representing Sydney, the host city in 2008.
