Media Advisory - Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation hosts youth forum
  
Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation is hosting a youth forum with guest speaker Dr. Michael Unger, Associate Professor of the School of Social Work at Dalhousie University, an internationally acclaimed researcher and scholar. Discussion points include:
  • What helps youth to become resilient despite life’s challenges
  • How we can best address at-risk behaviour, such as violence, suicide, high drop-out rates and substance abuse
  • Strategies and techniques for developing a positive rapport with youth.


The Youth Resilience Forum is open to everyone. Members of the public may register by calling
416-395-6120, or emailing callevat@toronto.ca. There is no charge for attendance, but pre-registration is requested as space is limited.

Place: Lawrence Heights Community Centre
