Media Advisory - Emergency Medical Services Week - EMS station open houses across Toronto

May 14 to 20 is Emergency Medical Services Week. As part of the celebrations, Toronto EMS Paramedics are inviting residents to tour an EMS station in their area, and see the inside of an ambulance. Paramedics will be on hand to demonstrate the medical equipment they use to save lives, and answer questions about their profession.

There will be free Jr. Paramedic stickers, tattoos and colouring sheets for children.

EMS station open houses are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as follows:
  • Monday, May 15 - Southwest 33 Station, 760 Dovercourt Rd. (north of Bloor St. W.)
  • Tuesday, May 16 - Northeast District Office, 2430 Lawrence Ave. E. (east of Kennedy Rd.)
  • Wednesday, May 17 - Southeast 43 Station, 126 Pape Ave. (north of Queen St. E.)
  • Thursday, May 18 - Northwest 13 Station, 555 Martin Grove Rd. (at Eglinton Ave. W.)

Members of the media are welcome to attend. For further information about the EMS station open houses or other EMS Week events, call 416-392-2255 or e-mail ems@toronto.ca.
