Partial closure of intersection at Woodbine and Gerrard starts Friday, continues through weekend

The intersection of Woodbine Avenue and Gerrard Street will be closed from Friday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. until Monday, April 10 at 5 a.m. for TTC track reconstruction.

One lane of westbound traffic will remain open during the construction work and traffic traveling southbound on Woodbine Avenue will have to make a right hand turn and proceed west on Gerrard Street. No other traffic will be able to travel through the intersection during this construction period.

During the closure, motorists are encouraged to use alternate eastbound routes such as Danforth Avenue and Kingston Road and alternate north/south routes including Coxwell Avenue and Main Street.

In addition, there will be changes to the 92 Woodbine South bus route during this intersection closure. For information about these service changes, visit the TTC’s website at http://www.ttc.ca.
