Media Advisory: Mayor Miller to sign agreement to get Toronto residents active
  
Mayor David Miller will sign a partnership agreement between the City of Toronto and the Toronto Bruce Trail Club (TBTC) that will provide Toronto residents with increased opportunities to become active through guided walks and hikes. The agreement is in support of the Walk in the Park program and includes training for Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation walking and hiking leaders. Following the signing of the agreement, the TBTC will lead a walk through High Park.

Date: Friday, September 8
Time: 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Location: High Park, park space adjacent to Grenadier Café

Walk in the Park will include the development of guided walks and hikes aimed at beginner level individuals who wish to become more active and will typically be held in the Toronto parks and trails system. The program will include walking and hiking routes, maps, area information, strength and flexibility exercises, safety concerns and information about other hiking and walking organizations.
