2006 picnic permits for Toronto parks are now available
  
Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation cares for 8,000 hectares of green space, including 1,478 named parks. Many of the larger parks have picnic areas that can accommodate groups of 25 or more people. Picnic permits are required for groups of 25 or more.

Picnic permits for the 2006 season are booked on a first come, first served basis and are available now. Picnic permits are $53.50 (tax included) and bookings can be made by calling 416-392-8188, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
