Media Advisory - New Discovery Walk opens
City of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation, Toronto and Region Conservation, and the Humber Arboretum are opening a new Humber Arboretum and West Humber River Valley Discovery Walk. Discovery Walks is a program of self-guided walks that link city ravines, parks gardens, beaches and neighbourhoods.

The official opening will consist of a brief ceremony, which will be followed by a 1 ½ to 2-hour guided walk through gardens, woodlands, and meadows and along the West Humber River.

Date: Saturday, June 24
Time: 11 a.m.
Place: Entrance of the Humber Arboretum behind the North Campus of Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, 205 Humber College Blvd.

The guided walk will take place rain or shine. Walkers are advised to dress comfortably for walking outdoors (hats, light-coloured cotton long-sleeved shirts, and long pants are recommended). Refreshments will be available at the end of the walk. Admission is free.
