North York Civic Centre Bike to Work Breakfast
Join the City of Toronto as we celebrate Bike Week 2006 with a Bike to Work Breakfast in North York to thank cyclists and encourage people to cycle to work.

Date: Wednesday, May 31st

Time: 8am to 10am

Location: Mel Lastman Square (5100 Yonge Street)

There will be food and beverages provided for commuters, as well as cycling-related information, and entertainment.

The theme for this breakfast is: Bike Racks on Buses - "Rack it and Rocket"

The City of Toronto in partnership with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) are running a pilot project that has placed bike racks on the front of TTC buses on seven routes in the city. This project allows cyclists to take their bikes on buses on designated routes anytime of day, for no extra charge.

"If bikes and transit work as a team, they make a formidable alternative to the car." -Toronto Bike Plan.
