Community and Political Leaders to Attend Toronto Cancer Prevention Conference
  
The Toronto Cancer Prevention Coalition will bring together representatives of over 80 organizations for a one day conference tomorrow to address prevention of cancer and other chronic diseases.

Experts and stakeholders representing environmental groups, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cancer Care Ontario, local health units, and the provincial and federal governments will work together to advocate for public policy on health promotion and disease prevention.

The conference will be moderated by Ruth Grier, Former Ontario Minister of Health & Minister of the Environment. The conference is open to media.

Speakers include:

Mayor David Miller: 8:45 a.m.

Dr. David McKeown, Medical Officer of Health: 9:00 a.m.

Dr. Carolyn Bennett, MP: 9:30 a.m.
