Toronto Fire Chief Bill Stewart is pleased to announce the appointment of new Deputy Fire Chief Frank Lamie, effective June 1.

Deputy Fire Chief Lamie is a 30-year Fire Service veteran having served in the former City of North York Fire Department for 23 years prior to the amalgamation of the new City of Toronto on January 1, 1998. He has served as an operations fire fighter, Captain of Training, Chief Fire Prevention Officer, Administration Chief responsible for Fire Prevention, Communications and Administration, and finally, as Division Chief of Staff Services since 1998.

“Deputy Fire Chief Lamie has a very demanding position on the Toronto Fire Services senior management team,” said Fire Chief Stewart. “I’m confident that Frank will continue exercising his exceptional diligent professionalism to contend with the ongoing responsibilities and challenges in his new position.”
