Toronto names park after June Callwood | | | | |
Mayor David Miller, Deputy Mayor and Tree Advocate Joe Pantalone, and Parks,
Forestry and Recreation General Manager Brenda Librecz will join journalist and
activist June Callwood to name a new park in her honour.
Callwood will also be joined by Councillor Paula Fletcher, who championed the
initiative; Councillor Gloria Lindsay Luby, Chair of the Economic Development
and Parks Committee; and representatives from the Fort York Drum Corps.
