One of Toronto’s landmark buildings and busiest public spaces, the Toronto Reference Library opened in 1977 with an addition in 1994. Designed by architect Raymond Moriyama and a winner of a Governor General's Medal for Architecture, the building currently is undergoing a $30 million expansion and revitalization.

Event information:
Special events: Saturday at 2pm join a member of the Toronto Reference Library's revitalization team, architect Gord Doherty for an informative discussion about the exciting ongoing renovation of Toronto Reference Library. At 11am, 12 noon and 3pm: Join Toronto Reference Library staff for a "white-gloved" behind the scenes tour of the building. Visit the closed off, extensive stacks area and see some of the library's rarest treasures.
