Phase one of the revitalization of Regent Park is well underway. There are buildings under construction in the area bounded by Dundas, Parliament, Oak and Sackville Streets and nearby in the east downtown. The first of these buildings that will be ready for tenants to move into is at 246 Sackville Street, an eight-storey rental building with 65 units.
But, revitalization is about much more than just replacing housing. Revitalization creates many opportunities. It is a chance to improve parks and open up the streets. It is a way to increase local jobs and training. It is a chance to be sustainable and to use responsible and green design. It means building a great neighbourhood.

Event information:
Check out the lobby and amenity spaces at 246 Sackville Street, the first building completed as part of the revitalization of Regent Park. Displays will tell the story about the entire revitalization project and will explain all the green features of the revitalization. Participants can also visit the boiler room of the Community Energy System located below the building. Visitors can also visit the OneCole presentation centre next door to check out the scale model of what the neighbourhood will look like after revitalization.
