Classic William Tyrrell design, and built by Father of Confederation Sir William P. Howland and his brothers, Lambton House served as a mid-point stagecoach stop on the Dundas Highway. Originally it was an L-shaped, centre plan, two storey red brick building with yellow (white) coins, decorative diamond inserts and a course of sawtooth brickwork at the base of the second floor. Its six on six sashed windows are fully restored as is the two storied trillaged verandah and balcony, which extends across the front. The interior staircase and treads are original fabric, as is one of the travellers rooms on the second floor. The remaining rooms are insubstantially altered.

There will be dispays about historic Lambton House and the Village of Lambton Mills as well as flora of the neighbouring Humber River - Canada's 26th Heritage River).
